- Inspect the bodywork — look for mismatched paint, uneven panel gaps, or filler — signs of previous accident damage.
- Check under the bonnet — look for oil leaks, corrosion, and mismatched parts. Check coolant and oil levels.
- Review the service history — a full service history shows the car has been maintained. Missing stamps are a red flag.
